Skybird Scholarships
The Sky Velvet Vassar Music Foundation provides Skybird Scholarships to inspire youth from New Mexico ages 8-14 to attend the Hummingbird Music Camp, a summer music and recreation camp located in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.
Nestled in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico, Hummingbird Music Camp offers young musicians an opportunity to grow under the guidance of a talented and nurturing staff. This safe and lovingly structured social environment provides a home away from home for youth to express themselves and their talents. Removed from city congestion, campers will sleep in a dorm with new friends, swim in the river, hike to a waterfall and practice their instruments outside.
The Sky Velvet Vassar Music Foundation provides 1/3 of the camp tuition, 1/3 is given in-kind by Hummingbird Camp and 1/3 is paid for by the student.
